| The 445th flew a total of 7 combat missions during 1943; all in the month of December between the 13th and the 31st. For a breakdown of the missions flown, follow the December, 1943 link on the left side of this page.
The 445th would get it's first taste of flak, fighters, long cold missions, a crew ditching in the English Channel, and the loss of their first crews. Little did they know what lay ahead for them over the next year and a half. |
