"I've Been Working On The Railroad" probably became the theme song for the 445th during the month of February, 1945.  With the exception of the occasional air field or oil refinery, railroad marshalling yards and rail viaducts were the primary targets.  This kept the choke-hold on the German Army, preventing the movement of supplies and men.
