In the seventeen months the 445th Bomb Group conducted combat operations, they lost 109 aircraft to ground fire, flak, or Luftwaffe fighters.  Each downed aircraft and crew required the generation of a Missing Air Crew Report (MACR - pronounced 'mack-er').  If a plane and crew made it back to England, but didn't make it back to their home field, there wasn't a MACR generated.

These MACR pages have been pulled down from Footnote.com which has had access to the official records from the National Archives in College Park, MD.  They also contain the German 'KU' records which detailed information about the men taken prisoner or killed in action.

I have grouped the MACRs by months starting with December, 1943 and ending in April, 1945 when operations ceased.  Any errors or omissions is solely the responsibility of the webmaster.  Please contact me if you note errors.
