Military service during a time of war requires extraordinary commitment by the service members. Those that have chosen the profession of arms know of the terrible costs that may be extracted because of that choice. Not everyone is willing to enter into a contract whereby the ultimate price to pay includes your life. Signing an enlistment contract is like signing a blank check where your life is "payable upon demand" by your government. The following table contains the names of 445th Bomb Group personnel who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Their names shall forever be honored as they fought the good fight.
