The 8th Air Force Bomber Command was comprised of three heavy bombardment divisions (BD) - 1st BD, flying B-17's; 2nd BD flying B-24's; and 3rd BD flying a mix of B-17's and B-24's before becoming an all B-17 division.  Early in 1944, the Bombardment Divisions were renamed to Air Divisions (AD).  The following links will point you to the 14 bomb groups that made up the 2nd Air Division of the 8th Air Force.

Several of the sites have Facebook pages as well as their own specific pages and summary pages from the 8th Air Force Historical Society.  While all of the links were active when this page was created, if you notice a link that is not working properly, please contact the webmaster using this link.
